Dear Friends and Neighbors:

It's nice to know that when you lay down each night, you can rest assured--knowing that the Pleasant Plains Volunteer Fire Department is standing guard over your community.  Since 1926, the members of the Pleasant Plains Volunteer Fire Department have been protecting lives and property in the Pleasant Plains section of the ever growing Township of Toms River.  The Pleasant Plains Volunteer Fire Department needs your help!   

As an all volunteer fire department we rely totally on the compassion and commitment of dedicated volunteers to respond to emergencies at all hours of the day and night, 365 days a year.  To support these volunteers, we depend heavily on charitable donations from township residents like you, to pay for the maintenance and upkeep of the fire department including: utilities, fuel, and the day to day operation of the department.

Our department serves the northern section of the Township of Toms River, also known as Pleasant Plains.  This includes: Lake Ridge, Greenbriar Woodlands, The Gardens of Pleasant Plains, Saratoga, North Pointe Hollow, Liberty Village, Weatherly, Waldon Woods, Briar Knoll, and many other developments as well as state and county roadways. 

As always, ANY donation of ANY amount is gratefully appreciated, and is fully tax deductible.  All donated monies remain solely for the use of the Pleasant Plains area.

The Pleasant Plains Volunteer Fire Department averaged over 600 calls for service in 2009, including structure fires, motor vehicle fires, extrications, brush fires, gas leaks, fire alarms and other community calls for service.

Over the past years, we've all seen that First Responders are always there for America--no matter how tough the job. Now we're asking that you be there for us...
